We’ve made our LA landing with an iconic rooftop TAKEOVER at The Warm Up, the newest party series heating up the city thanks to our longtime partner-in-party crime, the effervescent Margie Plus. Hosted high above the palm trees at the 1Hotel in West Hollywood, we kicked off PRIDE season the only way we know how—loud, proud, and full of glam.
We gathered our dolls, divas, and darlings for an afternoon of libations, vogueing, and fabulosity. Performances from Mel 4Ever, who slayed her NYC-girl anthem “I’m From New York,” and the IT GIRL herself, Aliyah’s Interlude, turned the rooftop into a main stage moment. Aliyah performed her namesake banger “IT GIRL” (duh) before gagging the crowd with the live premiere of her next smash “WTF MY DRINK @?”—a scream-out-loud moment that cemented the night as the official summer kickoff.
Our guest list was just as gag worthy, with appearances by the fabulous Malik Brehon (winner of LEGENDARY on HBO, House of Miyake Mugler). LA royalty like our special guest host the Compton Princesa Luna Lovebad and The Queen of Melrose, Cosmo Lombino, brought the swagger while Culinary diva Chef Ginger J. Pierce kept the vibes yummy. We also spotted some baddies like the super duper fly KYLE, Kat Kunning, Jessi Jae Joplin, Chaunc, Anthony Auguste, Guapdad 4000, and Prince Katuka, maintaining the vibes high in the sky and sizzling hot.
Between the beats brought to you by Harald Austad, the skyline, and the flowing cocky’s, the LADYGUNN TAKEOVER felt like the beginning of a very sexy summer.
