Last Saturday, Alt Space took over Signal Gallery in Brooklyn, with the help of Rookie Magazine illustrator Kati Yewell and sponsor SPLACER, to throw a release party for the inaugural issue of NOISY KIDS, Yewell’s new art-heavy zine. The zine is 90 pages of features, interviews and original art work by cover girl Tavi Gevinson, Mayan Toledano and Julia Baylis of Me & You, Grace Miceli, Wiissa and RemiRiordan.
In celebration of the zine release, Alt Space and Yewell curated an art show featuring works and artists from the zine, as well as live performances by Jimi Lucid, Nightspace and Pretty Sick, and a pop up shop of Alt Space’s favorite artists and brands.
Alt Space’s ‘clubhouse’ is set to open in Bushwick late Spring.
