Analise introduces her new single, “Limerence,” a song that directly explores what happens when affection and connection become suffocating. Unlike conventional love songs, this track focuses on the concept of “limerence,” a state of obsessive attachment where one person falls in love with an invented version of another. The artist writes from the perspective of the recipient of that attention, describing how initial flattery slowly transforms into a sense of entrapment.

The song’s lyrics stand out for their honesty and avoidance of unnecessary drama, focusing instead on self-awareness regarding the relationship’s dynamics. A key moment in the track is the phrase, “You lie on my chest, and I can’t breathe,” which perfectly summarizes the emotional imbalance Analise aims to convey. According to the artist, the song was born from a process of understanding that, in certain dynamics, one stops being treated as a person and becomes an idea or an object of someone else’s desire.
“I wrote it from a place of therapy and understanding. I’ve experienced what it’s like to be loved in a way that feels obsessive instead of safe”, Analise assures.
Musically, “Limerence” is classified as bedroom pop with an alternative touch. The production is built on steady percussion and layered harmonies that accompany a very close, rhythmic vocal delivery. This design fits the lyrics perfectly; it begins intimately and gradually builds tension without ever fully releasing it, reinforcing the idea of feeling trapped.
Originally from New Hampshire, Analise has developed a style rooted in transparency and in simply telling personal experiences. Throughout her career, she has garnered attention from international media such as Wonderland and CLASH and has shared the stage with artists like Annie DiRusso and Infinity Song.
“Limerence” is a key part of Analise’s evolution, as she is already working on her debut album and a short film.
