Whimsical psych-rock band Felines is made up of Ditte Melgaard on guitar, Mei-Long Bao on drums, Asta Louisa Bjerre on bass and Kristian Bønløkke on synth.
The Copenhagen based quartet is a mod squad rhythmed, haunting vocal, electrically riffed, bolt of a time. They make a beautiful cacophony of music that is in equal parts sexy as it is dance-inducing. Thier mishmash of disco, garage rock, and experimental elements has landed them on Saint Laurent Paris runways and soundtracks.
Today we premiere thier video for “Too Tight.” A Tour de New York in which they take us on a whirlwind tour of the city.
The band says, “The video reflects the song’s theme of feeling restless and inadequate, but always curious and in search of answers. Themes of loneliness, being a human being in a city, the passage of time, and searching for meaning. The video is also a little homage to New York because we identify with the city’s no-wave sound of the 1980’s.”
