LA-based trio Egg Drop Soup is sick of the bullshit. Like most of us screaming into our pillows at night frustrated by the draconian era against women’s bodies, the band has made a song we can call sing to at the top of our lungs.
“Tots” is an in-your-face song tackling the topic of abortion, off of our latest EP, PMS. The video takes a broad look at women’s body politics and rituals in the home through a lens that is masked with levity, yet poignant and relevant.
The band says, “‘Tots’ is our rebellion against patriarchal expectations of perfection, both in terms of beauty standards and a woman’s place in the home and in society. We really wanted to address the subject in a way that takes some of the heaviness out of the issue, and had a total blast making a beautiful mess while giving a solid “EFF YOU” to the man.”
