While the pandemic has halted many aspects of daily life, it has not halted creativity. As our world continues to socially distance, it is paramount that we do not distance ourselves from new music – especially tracks that feature novel melodic ideas and burgeoning avenues of discovery.

In this Release Radar, Ladygunn explores two weeks of new music from artists of sundry genres and musical styles.

 RINA SAWAYAMA-Lucid

Japanese-British pop sensation Rina Sawyama is back with a high energy, electro-beat heavy track  “Lucid”. Rina describes the song as being about “living a different life through dreaming”. 

 

ARLO PARKS- Caroline

Indie alt-pop singer Arlo Parks unveiled her new song, “ Caroline”, which tells the perspective of an onlooker seeing a once loving relationship fall apart. “Caroline” is one of the tracks that will appear on her debut album “Collapsed in Sunbeams”  coming this January. 

 

BAD BUNNY -Yo Visto AsĂ­

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny released the music video for his song Yo Visto Así’, off his new album”El Ultimo Tour del Mundo”. The star studded music video had appearances from celebs like Ricky Martin, Sofia Vergara,Luka Sabbat and Ruby Rose .

HAUSKEY- Silver Lining 

Australian singer  Hauskey released his debut EP, “ Slow”, along with a music video for one his track “Silver Lining”. “Silver Lining” is a feel good mellow yet soulful pop song perfect for riding around in your car. 

 

OKAY KAYA-You’re Still The One

Norwegian-American singer Okay Kaya recently released her melodic cover of Shania Twain’s song “You’re Still The One” .

SABA-Are You Down? Pt. 2

Chicago rapper Saba released his new single “Are You Down? Pt. 2 This Tuesday. This is a sequel/reworking of his  other song Whip (are you down?). The track features fellow  Chicago artist tobi lou.
