Rapper Prince Silentó – leader of the ‘Whip / Nae Nae’ dance phenomenon – releases a saucy new track, following his debut album “Fresh Outta High School”. At only 20 years old, Silentó has toured the world for the past three years. His music is a blend of dancehall, electronica, and hip hop. The Atlanta native’s debut album showcases his diverse musical style, citing pop and electronic themes on tracks “Rumors”, “Numbers”, and “Loving You.”

Silentó’s most noted song, of course, is the playful “Watch Me/Whip Nae Nae.’ Following up that phase with a matured tune called “Drip”, it’s certainly catchy enough to believe he has officially broken the mold of his tween years. Filled with sex, “Drip” is a catchy but repetitive tune, as the singer raps “I got the drip/I got the sauce” on a Caribbean beat. Silentó’s craze might be compared to the likes of the Lil Nas X hype, and his lyrics, although not yet substantial, still prove that they can be appealing to the millennials with this snappy chorus.

“Almost the top of the year and I’m letting the world know I got the drip and the sauce of success everywhere I go on the planet. ” Silentó remarks. “Drip is about how I created myself mentally and physically and basically letting my peers know I’m the OG when it comes to being creative and being myself and no matter how much people try to duplicate my likeness and apply it to personal benefits that I will always be the original instead of trying to be someone else. Drip means style!! I wanted to express this is in the video.”
