Butter is the delicious creamy “pastel alter-ego” sounds of singer/actress/writer Lola Blanc. With the first track off Butter’s music project, we dip right into a soundscape of luxe vibrations so good, you want to lick them off your finger. “Lifted” is a sexy breath heavy track that could make anyone come back, crawling on their hands and knees for more.
Lola says of her new project, “Butter transmutes your childhood memories into far-flung daydreams — like orbiting the rings of Saturn on the Magic School Bus — so far beyond nostalgia, more like an alchemical re-processing of the Collective Unconscious, reworking Pop Culture to resurrect ancient visions, praying to Sailor Moon for protection, calling on Madonna for guidance and an open heart.”
