The New York boutique record label Neon Gold announces their *tenth* annual Neon Golden SXSW showcase, returning to Empire Garage (info HERE) on Wednesday March 18th as one of South By Southwestâs longest running and most respected events. This year, the showcase is presented alongside LADYGUNN Magazine.
Previous Neon Golden headliners include Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Years & Years, Marina, MĂ et. al, and this yearâs showcase sees performances by Role Model, Nasty Cherry, Maude Latour, Pom Pom Squad, Charlotte Rose Benjamin and Maddie Medley on the bill. This is an official showcase, and will be free entry with SXSW badges and wristbands.Â
Neon Gold Records was founded by Derek Davies and Lizzy Plapinger (LPX, MS MR), and has gone on to release over 50 artists since Passion Pitâs debut. New York-based independent boutique label, in partnership with Atlantic Records, specializing in the most credible pop music the world has to offer. Since launching in 2008 with the release of Passion Pitâs debut single âSleepyheadâ, Neon Gold has discovered and released the debut singles from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, MĂ, Gotye, Icona Pop and more such as Charli XCX, HAIM, Marina (& The Diamonds), St. Lucia, The Knocks, Christine and the Queens, Matt Maeson, Your Smith, Winona Oak and many more have all called the label home over the past decade.
Neon Gold also runs a successful live events arm, operating popular monthly club nights in NYC and LA, that have hosted the debut shows from Halsey, Dua Lipa CHVRCHES, Billie Eilish, BĂRNS, Grouplove and more in addition to their flagship annual showcase at SXSW.
