Colors are fun and all, but truth be told, this is New York, and we wear black. Katie Gallagher has our backs on this one. Presenting quite possibly the most wearable collection yet this season, Gallagher’s aesthetic was sleek and classic, with a few innovative twists on wardrobe staples. An otherwise simple collared blouse was edged up with an a-symmetric hemline and a tie closure at the neck. A bold red cape jacket was embellished with a single oversized black button. We love the imaginative and the obscure at Fashion Week, but collections like Gallagher’s allow for realistic style inspiration. Her designs were essentially everything we’ve always wanted in our closets, only much, much, cooler.
