This NYFW, Ladygunn teamed up with legendary footwear brand Steve Madden to curate a collection of #NYFW style diaries. We teamed up with a handful of our favorite influencers, sent them to some of our favorite fashion shows in cute new shoes and asked them to walk us through their experience. Here is the first of the series – check out the rest here.
Jess Marak is a designer based in New York City. Check out her feed of eye-pleasing, design-inspired images on her Instagram.
“I attended the Charles Youssef presentation Wednesday morning in Meatpacking. I found it more intimate and personal than a traditional runway show. I was able to shake hands with the designer, get up close with the garments and interact with the models as I was photographing them. The show was inspired by one of my favorite artists, Esther Stewart. I could see her influence in the geometric prints and architectural pleats as well as the oversized circular accessories. Every detail was considered from the hair & make-up to the stage furniture, which was designed by Anna Karlin, another one of my favorites! Overall, the presentation was everything I could ask for: geometric, sophisticated and minimal.”
