Samantha Pleet designs fairytale-esque clothes for the modern woman. The Pratt graduate and Brooklyn-based designer got her start in 2006 when she released her name- sake collection. Since then, she has collaborated with Urban Outfitters for a new line, Rapscallion, and curated a pop up shop at Space 15 Twenty in LA. Her last collection incorporated elements of Nordic mythology, inspired by a recent visit to Iceland. She majestically intertwines design elements of medieval armor while maintaining a soft, flowing and feminine flair. All of her clothes are made in New York with a preference for organic, all-natural materials. Her effortless, colorful frocks are perfect for hip, fashion-forward gals seeking breathable and chic items for the summer months. Here are some of our favorite looks from her spring collection.
-Erica Varlese

It’s the last summer for two lovers.
Their affair can go on no longer so they capture the day to remember.
She stares into the camera with heartbreak knowing that they can
never see each other again.

Time has passed and the rolls have been hidden away and forgotten
long ago. Once recovered he sits and stares into her eyes take after
take feeling her intensity and sadness. Remembering long after the
fact how things used to be and what this love was.
