It is easy to look at Luminati Suns and only see the staggering numbers. With their recent remix of “I’m Sorry Mom” racking up over 200 million views in a mere 72 hours, brothers Giorgio, Luigi, and Romeo could easily coast on viral fame. But the Burlington, Ontario-based trio is proving they are far more than a fleeting social media algorithm. Raised on the road and armed with multi-layered family harmonies, they are actively translating their internet momentum into a tangible global footprint, currently tearing through Europe as special guests on Walk Off the Earth’s world tour.

Their newest release perfectly captures this transitional era for the band. Taking on Bedouin Soundclash’s beloved Canadian staple “When the Night Feels My Song,” Luminati Suns manage a delicate balancing act. They preserve the warm, breezy nostalgia of the original track, a song deeply rooted in their own childhood, while injecting it with their signature alt-pop energy. It is a full-circle musical moment that they are now reinventing live in front of international crowds while shooting the track’s music video on the road.

As they prepare to roll out fully original singles leading up to their 2027 debut EP, we caught up with the trio to dig into the realities of their rapid rise. Ahead, the brothers open up about the creative chaos of writing with siblings, the lessons learned from sharing the stage with industry veterans, and why they are determined to show the world exactly who they are behind the viral hits.

As brothers making music together, how do your individual personalities influence the band’s sound and creative decisions?

We all have pretty different personalities, and we don’t always like the same kind of music. So sometimes when we’re working on a song, we all have different ideas about how it should sound. But that’s actually what makes it fun because we each bring something different to it. And since we’re brothers, we’re not really afraid to tell each other when we think something sounds bad. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we argue, and sometimes it turns into a full-on Royal Rumble. But we always figure it out in the end.

In the creative dynamics of the band, who handles what part?

We all contribute in different ways, whether it’s coming up with ideas, working on the music, content, or figuring out how we want a song to feel. We like collaborating and building on each other’s ideas rather than having everything assigned to one person. Everyone gets to have a voice in what we create!

You’re releasing your own spin on “When the Night Feels My Song,” originally made famous by Bedouin Soundclash. What drew you to this track, and how did you approach making it your own?

Our parents used to play this song a lot when we were really little, so it’s always been a song we’ve known and loved. We actually got to play a show with Bedouin last summer and enjoyed watching their set. They are really nice guys. It’s cool to be able to take a song we grew up listening to and put our own spin on it. We wanted to keep the feel of the original while adding our own energy and making it our own!

You’ve described recording the track as a lot of fun. Was there a particular moment in the studio when you felt your version was coming together?

The whole process was a lot of fun because we were experimenting and trying different things. We’re still developing our sound, so it was cool to explore different ideas and see what worked. It’s always exciting when you start with an idea and hear everything come together into something that feels like us! We actually recorded a whole other version of this song and ended up scrapping it. We didn’t think it felt right. Maybe one day we’ll give it to our fan HQ!

You’re touring Europe with Walk Off the Earth while preparing the live music video for “When the Night Feels My Song.” How does performing on the road influence the way you interpret the track?

Playing the song live is a lot of fun because we get to see everyone’s reactions for the very first time and feel the crowd’s energy. Touring with Walk Off the Earth has been such an amazing experience, and we’ve learned a lot along the way. We love getting to meet our fans, and their support means a lot to us!

Having spent time on the road with Walk Off the Earth, what have you learned from sharing the stage and touring experience with them?

Touring has pretty much been a part of our lives since we were born! Our parents have always brought us along, so we’ve spent a lot of time learning from the sidelines and now getting to step into the spotlight ourselves. We’ve grown up watching Walk Off the Earth perform and seeing how they connect with their fans. It’s been really cool to learn from them, and now we get to experience it ourselves!

You’ve played stages everywhere from Canada and the US to Europe and Asia. Which audience has surprised you the most with their energy?

Honestly, it’s hard to pick just one because every crowd has its own energy! China was a really cool experience for us. It’s amazing to travel somewhere completely different and see people singing along and getting excited about the music, even when English isn’t their first language. Seeing how music brings people together all over the world is one of the coolest parts of what we do!

You’re currently working on two original singles ahead of your debut EP in 2027. How are these upcoming releases shaping the next chapter of Luminati Suns?

We’re really excited to start sharing more of our own original music. Doing covers is fun because we get to put our spin on songs we love, but originals give us the chance to show people who we are as artists. These next singles are an important step toward our debut EP, and we’re excited for everyone to hear how our sound is developing. We have a song called NPC that is the first song we wrote with no other collaborators, and we’re really excited to share it with the Sunnies.

As you continue to develop your sound and reach new audiences, what would you like people to understand about Luminati Suns that they might not discover through your viral moments alone?

We just want people to know that we’re super determined and passionate about music and art, and there’s a lot more to us than just making viral videos. Don’t get us wrong, the viral stuff is awesome, but we also love playing shows, writing songs, and trying out new sounds and ideas. And the cool thing is, we get to do all of this together as brothers. We’re still young, and we’re definitely still figuring out what kind of music we want to make. But that’s kind of the fun part. We’re just excited to keep getting better, making more music, and having people come along for the ride.
