We AreScientists’ new album TV en Français is out now and the guys performed very special acoustic version of one of the standout tracks on the album, “Dumb Luck” for LADYGUNN! ‘With albums ‘Love & Squalor’ and ‘Brain Thrust Mastery’, they developed cult followingS and toured the world with their guitar riffs and quirkiness. On their latest album they worked with such producers as Chris Coady (Beach House, Smith Westerns, Yuck) and Claudius Mittendorfer (Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Interpol) and had ex-Razerlight member, Andy Burrows on drums to bring about a new sound that is both mature and interesting.
TV en Français is a well-developed album that really showcases the full musical talents of the guys. The band keeps the energy up and guitar-heavy through most of the songs while some of surprisingly soft and serene. Stand out tracks are, “What You Do Best”, “Take An Arrow”, “Dumb Luck” and “Don’t Blow It.”
