“Bonjour, Paris!”, Directed by Andrew White and Sam Bates Is a playful subversion of the tropes of an American tourist in Paris. Our model, Margaux Weil, explores the city in satirical fashion looks from Louis Vuitton and Gucci, styled by Mathis Bouquillion, that are juxtaposed with landmarks and iconic neoclassical artworks on display at the Louvre Museum. With all the subtlety of an American tourist, Margaux is determined to see every inch of the city. She cosplays Napoleon at the Eiffel Tower then Marianne at la Monument à la Republique in the same afternoon. She really tries to do it all! But, as tourists do, she finds herself hopelessly lost, and not even the map of Paris she wears on her dress can save her. It’s not until she is chain-smoking cigarettes alone in an alley that she truly has her first Parisian experience. She is a woman transformed.
