SABRINA CARPENTER DELIVERS PURE POP THEATER AT CRYPTO.COM ARENA
Sabrina Carpenter is closing out her Short & Sweet tour with a six-night residency at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. We caught night two this past Monday, where Carpenter delivered a three-act, 24-song set that pulled from every era of her discography.
She opened the show sprinting onstage in a towel, which she dropped to reveal a hot-pink, bedazzled bodysuit edged in black lace that created a heart-shaped silhouette. Act two brought a black, crystal-studded bodycon moment, while act three saw her in a gold, glittering two-piece adorned with palm trees — plus her now-iconic go-go boots with heart-shaped cutouts.
Every night, Carpenter spins a bottle to determine a surprise song for the set; this evening’s pick was “15 Minutes.” She also keeps her tradition before “Juno,” where she “arrests” an audience member for being “too hot.” On night two, her chosen offenders were none other than Dakota and Elle Fanning. Her “Juno” pose? Lying flat on her back and thrusting her pelvis skyward to the roar of the arena.
Carpenter closed the night with “Espresso” during the encore, sending the crowd out buzzing.
If you haven’t caught the residency yet, you still have four more chances — December 19, 20, 21, and 22 in Los Angeles.
