Los Angeles singer Solene Velvet, known as The Mother of Cyber Jazz, returns with “Midnight Angel,” a twelve-track album produced by J. Rawls, the jazz-hop pioneer and frequent collaborator of Black Star and The Liquid Crystal Project. The release follows her acclaimed 2024 project, “Chase the Stars,” which has already surpassed four million streams.
With “Midnight Angel,” Solene further develops her fusion of jazz, lo-fi, and cyberpunk aesthetics, a style she has coined as cyber jazz. Her earlier work, including the track “Downer Vibe,” produced with Japanese artist Minthaze, helped her gain recognition from Grammy-winning producer Conductor Williams and opened doors to several celebrated projects.
