Today is Jasmine Dreamer a social media maven who is on a mission to celebrate and spread messages of body positivity and sexual healing.
What’s your alter ego?
I see my alter ego as my dominant wild side, comprising a significant part of my authentic self. On one hand, I am gentle, sensitive and self-aware, always wanting to make people happy and live a healthy lifestyle. But my alter ego begs to break all the rules and give no fucks about anything, often pushing my limits and sometimes self-destructive. In a sense, my alter ego is the unapologetic expression of all the characteristics I’ve contained within myself, romanticised and sometimes had to tame. She is a bad bitch with unwavering self-confidence who shamelessly embraces sexuality and embodies feminine power, while subtly attempting to undermine authority.
Where do you go?
I travel far and wide, whenever I can create opportunity! I have an insatiable desire to see and experience as much of the world as I possibly can, in order to decide where I would feel comfortable basing myself long term. I have visited both Thailand and L.A. more than anywhere else so far, and both places feel like second homes. However, for the past two months, I have been travelling through Europe, and I am in Madrid as I write this. I was previously in Ibiza and Barcelona and have definitely fallen in love with Spain! I’ll be returning to Berlin tomorrow, where I have been primarily situated during this trip.
What is love?
To me, love is sincere, powerful, honest connection which extends beyond the tangible world. I think there is romantic love and universal love, both which can occur beyond our control but are equally important to give and receive. I perceive love to be the wholehearted appreciation for the existence of another being, which manifests into expressions of affection, adoration and loyalty. I don’t really believe in love at first sight, but I do feel that it can transpire quickly upon meeting someone. At times, I’ve felt like I’ve seen the purity and true core of someone’s character. Then, after spending some time learning about what makes them who they are, felt an overwhelming sense of emotion that can only be described as love.
What does fashion means to you?
Fashion has always been an important outlet of limitless self-expression for me. I have found comfort in fashion, it is a constant chance to be creative and translate inspiration, where you can wear an outfit and be a walking exhibition of your own aesthetic tastes and influences. I think fashion is both a form of art and communication, which can tell us so much about culture and attitudes, reflecting so many aspects of both a society and the individual during that point in time. For me, fashion has served as a means of conveying facets of my personality, without any words or explanation required. I have always loved challenging conventional ideals of fashion, and while my style continues to evolve, I have consistently felt compelled in a provocative direction…which I feel is a very accurate representation of my rebellious nature.
What are you dreaming about?
The great unknown, adventures yet to happen and the knowledge which awaits. I’m feeling very inspired, ambitious and so full of love! I’ve had some significant encounters during my travels so far, and some very important realisations which have me a little excited for the future and whatever that entails. I want to chase an endless summer and aspire to constantly better myself, to hopefully one day be able to contribute to making the world a better place to live in. In a sense, I feel like I’m currently living what I always dreamed of and when my mind wanders, it is often to absorb and reflect on the world around and beyond me, and everything that has led to this point. It’s an exciting time to be alive!
