The best moments during NYFW happened at SUSANNE BARTSCH’s runway show… there we said it! On Friday February 11th debuted LOOK! a capsule collection all inspired by her iconic party imagery of the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s. These exclusive prints, patterns and collages were created by digitizing original printed invitations, flyers and custom artwork used to promote some of the biggest parties and most intimate affairs of Susanne’s iconic career . “A lot of these images have not been seen since they first circulated. Evites and social media was not a thing back then, printed invitations and posted fliers on street corners were the only way to get the word out.” Says Phil Gomez who works closely with Bartsch and collaborated with her on the overall production of LOOK!
Along with the debut of the first capsule collection, which will be available for purchase in the Spring of 2022. LOOK! featured a fresh and raw collective of designers, all showcasing that NYC’s indie design scene is still producing standout hot, new talent. Designer CASEY CALDWELL, kicked off the runway followed by JESSICA JADE, SHO KONISHI, KIM MESCHES, GUVANCH and DOPE TAVIO. “I wanted to share the runway with designers that I love and wear and deserve a spotlight” Says Bartsch, who closed the night by bringing her star studded cabaret show and friends to the runway, challenging the notion that over the top fashion is only reserved for the club, now it can be your everyday look!
